Here at Immerse Agency, breaking a world record is one of our favorite press initiatives to execute, and in the past few years, we have broken four world records for our clients! These initiatives have garnered national, regional, and local brand recognition through extensive press coverage. Check out our records below!
When opening the world premiere of a traveling exhibition about STEAM learning our team was looking to encapsulate creativity in a big way. What better way than creating the World’s Largest Drawing! This drawing took 63 hours over five days to complete and measured in at over 6,500 sq ft.
The World’s Largest Drawing was a PR initiative designed to build awareness and buzz for the grand opening of a STEAM learning exhibition at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. The initiative secured national media exposure valued at over $730,000, including an article in CNN, and supplemented the holistic marketing and advertising plan for a sold-out opening weekend.
Immerse Agency oversaw the public relations strategy and execution for the exhibition Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away. during its recent Boston engagement. One of our biggest initiatives was the creation of the “World’s Largest Watercolor Painting” to drive press with strong visuals and deep meaning.
The World’s Largest Watercolor Painting achieved widespread Greater Boston coverage including the top TV affiliate stations: ABC, FOX, WHDH, and The CW, in addition to articles in regional and local community papers. This resulted in key exposure for the exhibition leading into the closing date valued at over $140,000.
When the STEAM learning exhibition moved to its second venue in a nationwide tour, an initiative was devised to continue the momentum built from the World’s Largest Drawing record. Hundreds of Charlotte youth were invited to color in over 1,000 sq. ft of a custom-designed coloring page to create the World’s Largest Coloring Page!
This project garnered coverage from every major media outlet in the region, including The Charlotte Observer, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Spectrum News, the CW Network, and more, driving earned media exposure valued at over $250,000. The project subsequently generated buzz for the STEAM learning exhibition and raised ticket sales for the attraction’s final weeks.
Immerse Agency has been executing the public relations campaign for The Big Bounce America since its inception in 2017. The main attraction for this tour is the World’s Largest Bounce House! This humongous bounce house stands 32-feet tall, inflates to over 24,000 square feet, and contains ball pits, huge slides, candy canes, giant beach balls, and even a DJ booth!
Over the years, we have secured earned media valued at over $11 million, including mentions on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow show, USA Today, Time Out Magazine, and several viral videos from various influencers, garnering over 250 million views. The response in awareness for this event has led to year-over-year increases in ticket sales, resulting in sustained success for the client.
Since the inaugural tour, The World’s Biggest Bounce House has made over 200 tour stops across the continent.
Immerse Agency helped the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry break the world record by erecting a colossal volcano outside the museum to celebrate Pompeii: The Exhibition. The volcano stood 34-feet tall, smashing the previous record of 28-feet, and still holds the title of the World’s Biggest Baking Soda Volcano!
This PR initiative resulted in widespread press across the state, positive word of mouth, increased awareness–and overall higher sales. By popular demand, Pompeii: The Exhibition extended its stay at the Oregon Museum of Science.
